Lake Erie Lake Trout 4/29/12

Capt. Ken and Helmut were joined once again by Author Robert Clark and his buddies for a day of laker fishing east of Presque Isle Bay.  A calm lake, mild temps and fish gorging on gobies and smelt helped them boat a record number of lakers for the B3!(see below)…

Upon arrival to the “spot” and as soon as the boat got down to trolling speed, it was on!

29 fish were boated in the first 2.5 hours!

All Hands on Deck for Lake Erie Lake Trout

Program consisted of 4 divers, 3 riggers and 2 LC’s(10 & 7).

Spoon color really didn’t matter as long as they were in the zone…bottom 10′.  Pirate 55′s and standard Dreamweavers were the studs.

Speed 2.2-2.4mph.  DOT-E/W.

Largest fish of the day, caught by Peter, weighed in at 19.4 lbs!  On the cleaning table, a 10-inch silver bass was found in it’s stomach!
